mission

Ben Ryan was in Nakuru, Kenya from 26th February to 5th March.

The main reason for his visit was to visit the St Monicah Academy to see the children there and spend time with them, to take a laptop for the school to use, to assess whether the school is ready to be 're-wired', to wisely spend money received from the GBFC congretation, identify where the next stage of development should be within the school, to make a DVD of the school to help us see what our involvement is with, to look at the possibilities of having a cotton farm in Kenya to produce Doxa clothes (Ben's clothing company),and to take footballs, clothes, etc. for the school.

Daniel Goodwin went to Albania on 1st March for around six months.  He was working with Elona and Alketa, with the children and young people at the JBUT Church and also helping with their A2B work with the Day Centre and the sponsored families.   

Russell and Wendy Long, Laura Underwood, Dave Rollett, Lindsay Rollett and Nicola Davies went to North Carolina on 29th June for two weeks as part of the m:power course they were attending.  Most of their work centered around a large trailer park, giving out food and organising events for the local children.
